I feel like you have a lot of potential but there’s a few things greatly holding you back.
1. I feel like your heavy drops tend to just be spamming basses with no real thought of where to put them or rhythm. In this particular track the rhythms are wildly all over the place and the basses even goes off beat. I think some simple research into how to hook your audience rhythmically with a heavy drop will be VERY helpful for you to look into.
2. In general I feel like your music tends to lack hooks. And similarly to the last thing, a great way to get better at getting the interest of your audience is just listening to a really interesting music and noting down what they’re doing to hook you. Analyzing the work of other people is extremely helpful for anyone, and I’ve learned a ton just from listening to other people’s music.
3. With your melodic drops ik you’re trying to go for this big melodic dubstep sound but it tends to just sound like a block of clipping saws and choir with some drums drowned out in the mix, which is too bad because with the right processing and sidechaining those melodic dubstep drops could be wayyy more interesting. One thing I also do relating to production that has helped me more than anything else is comparing my music to professionals. When finishing a track I’ll compare it to a professional reference and note down what makes the professional track professional and mine still fairly amateur in comparison. Not amazing for self image in the short term but holy shit it gets you to learn real fast, and I’d HIGHLY recommend it.
Overall just keep working at it man! You’ve got a ways to go but putting in the right effort will definitely get you there :)
