My god those chords

Good job man :D really like the feel of this one

Febbs responds:

Thank you!, I'm glad you liked it! :D

People are saying it sounds powerless but I personally love what you've done to this track. Everything is spot on.

KORAII responds:

thanks bud, glad you like it

All of your work has great mixing and mastering, the sound design is on point too! My only problem is the choice of track to remix. A lot of people have remixed this piece, and I can only think of two that I like (Instrumental Core's and Ben Walter's). Idk it's only my opinion but I feel like Hans Zimmer - Time is a track that unless you make an intense emotional remix of it (Like Instrumental Core's orchestral metal remix or Ben Walter's massive melodic dubstep) then it shouldn't really be trifled with. I feel like this remix isn't really bringing out the emotion or fullness of the original to go for a more "dancey" feel instead, which kind of makes the original melody feel... empty and substanceless.

TL;DR: Using an emotional melody in a non-emotional way doesn't tend to turn out great.

The section from 2:15 onward was spot on tho. Overall nice job! Just feel like you could have done a lot more here.

EDIT: “Dancey” was the wrong choice of words, idrk what is. I tend to write things that are kinda incomprehensible when leaving reviews, sorry for the confusion. I think what I was generally trying to say is that I don’t personally think there was enough emphasis on the melody as there could have been.

Geoplex responds:

Hey, thanks for the feedback! :) While I can certainly agree that more could have been done with this, I can't say I agree that it feels "dancey", and that certainly wasn't the intention (and actually i'm not 100% sure what that means). But, I still appreciate your thoughts, thank you.

Nice track! Really like the vibe it gives off, and the melody and sound design really cool! I just feel like at some parts it sounds TOO full. Idk if it's a mastering thing (I'm not so good with production) but some parts just sound like overload. Overall though, great job!

Dude this is pretty nice! I don't see why you say you suck at mixing and mastering, the mixing is REALLY good! My only gripes here are with the composition. I see the vibe that you're going for
but I found the melody to be a little sloppily done. Idk it just doesn't really resonate, and with that chord progression you could do a LOT of cool stuff. As well, in the drop, I feel like you could have added more melody in a higher octave just to give it an even fuller sound. Overall though, great job! I like where your style's going :)

Another-Time responds:

Thank you! i will try to improve in the future :)

Yooo this is really nice!

I cannot describe how much I love this track. You nailed this one.

You rarely do it, but vocal samples in your tracks just work so incredibly well for some reason. This track is super cool :)

Dude this is great. While some of your more recent tracks have been weaker and forgettable, I think that this one is a beginning of a transition into a period of some truly amazing stuff. This sounds like a 2018 Xtrullor dubstep banger. While it in no way rivals your work in the first half of 2017 (I consider Jnana to be your magnum opus), it packs a punch and is fun to listen to. Super hyped for your upcoming work, I have a feeling that every release is just going to get better and better from here.
